Bore shore organisational changes

Tero Haapalinna has been appointed Quality & Safety Manager, including the role as DPA and CSO, reporting to Thomas Franck. Tero joined Bore in mid January 2009 as Crewing Manager and Office Manager for our Dutch operations. In his new task Tero will be based in Helsinki from 1st March 2010, but Tero will also continue in his old role in Rotterdam. Therefore, Tero will spend time in both Rotterdam and Helsinki.

The appointment of a Quality& Safety Manager in Bore will emphasise Bore’s commitment to improve the quality and safety aspects of the company’s operation. Tero’s experience as DPA and CSO of K-Line in the UK is a good basis for the work and he is assigned to reform and improve the company safety culture. Emphasis in the first phase is on improvement of the Bore vessels’ PSC (Port State Control) inspection results.

We trust you will all join in wishing Tero all the best in his new task and with his forthcoming challenges.
